Milestone benefits

Milestone benefits are additional rewards, often a lump sum of bonus points, vouchers, or a fee waiver, unlocked when your annual spend crosses a specific threshold, separate from your regular per-transaction reward rate. These are common on premium and co-branded cards, where crossing a milestone (say, ₹3 lakh or ₹6 lakh in a year) triggers a bonus on top of what you've already earned from spending itself. They can meaningfully boost a card's effective return, but only for spenders who reliably hit the required threshold, for lower spenders, they add little practical value.
