Real math, not a guess.
Why we built faayda.com the way we did, and what we're trying to become.
Prashant has used credit cards for over 25 years, long enough to see how much value they add when they're used well, and how much they cost when they aren't. He started Faayda so that more people get that value. His own wallet holds just one card, the HDFC Infinia Metal, and it gets no special treatment here: it's ranked by the same math as every other card.
He maintains Faayda's card data himself. Every card is checked against the bank's own terms (the MITC and the official card page), and every change is logged on the card's page with what it was before. Based in India.
LinkedIn →Faayda is a credit card comparison tool built around one idea: every recommendation should be backed by real math, not a guess. When you tell us how you spend, we don't ask an AI to estimate what you might earn. We calculate it, using each card's actual reward rates, fees, and caps. The AI only ever explains a number after it's already been computed. It never invents one.
Most credit card advice in India is either trying to sell you something or shaped by whichever bank pays the best referral fee. We built Faayda to work differently: every card's numbers come from its actual published terms, every comparison uses the same math for every card, and if a card's terms change, our numbers change with them, not the other way around. If we ever get something wrong, we'd rather fix it than leave it, and we don't rank a card higher because it pays us more.
For anyone in India trying to answer a genuinely hard question honestly: which credit card actually pays for itself, given how you actually spend. Not how an average person spends, and not how a bank's marketing page describes it. Whether you're picking your first card, deciding whether to upgrade, or just wondering if the card already in your wallet is still worth the fee, that's the question we're built to answer.
Not just a place you visit once to pick a card, but the place you come back to and ask, "is this still the right card for me?" As your spending changes, as banks quietly change their terms, and as better options appear. Comparison sites help you choose once. We want to help you keep making the right choice, for as long as you're holding the card.
Some "Apply now" links are affiliate links, and we may earn a referral fee if you're approved through one. It never changes which cards we recommend or how they rank. Read exactly how the numbers are worked out on our methodology page.
