Billing cycle

A billing cycle (also called a statement cycle) is the period between two consecutive statement generation dates on your credit card, typically around 30 days. All transactions made within this window appear together on a single statement, along with your total due and payment due date, which usually falls 15-20 days after the statement is generated. Knowing your billing cycle date is useful for timing large purchases to maximise your interest-free period.

Frequently asked questions
The billing cycle is the period during which transactions are collected onto one statement; the payment due date is a separate, later date by which that statement's bill must be paid.
Some issuers allow you to request a change to your billing cycle date, though this is not guaranteed and depends on the specific bank's policy.
