Credit bureau
A credit bureau is a licensed agency that collects credit information from banks, NBFCs, and other lenders, then compiles it into credit reports and scores for individuals and businesses. India has four RBI-licensed bureaus: TransUnion CIBIL, Experian, Equifax, and CRIF High Mark. Lenders are not required to report to all four, so your score and report details can genuinely differ slightly from one bureau to another depending on which of your lenders report where.
