Cash advance fee

A cash advance fee is charged when you withdraw cash using your credit card, whether from an ATM or over the counter. It is typically 2.5–3% of the withdrawn amount, subject to a minimum charge (often around ₹500), and is separate from the interest that starts accruing immediately, unlike regular purchases, cash advances get no interest-free period at all. Because of this, cash withdrawals are generally the most expensive way to use a credit card.
